Mission
Our action steps lead us to empower distressed communities by sourcing sustainable funding to facilitate disaster victim caseload management and on-the-ground volunteers. We are doing work with the people and by the people of the communities we serve to preserve mechanical solidarity¹
Vision
Our belief is that people-powered projects of restorative infrastructure². in our communities will have a higher completion rate and foster a sense of connectedness that elevates upward mobility of citizens and their children.
-
Mechanical Solidarity: A sociological concept describing community cohesion based on shared lifestyles and mutual support, common in small, homogeneous societies where connection feels like kinship rather than economic exchange. To explore further, research organic solidarity and reflect on your own way of living.
-
Restorative Infrastructure: Focused on facilitating transportation, resource access, health referrals, and navigating insurance, FEMA, and community paperwork. While often termed "disaster caseload management," we emphasize a positive, recovery-driven approach, aligning with the spirit of restoration and "respira" (Latin for "breathe again").
