Jake is a bilingual skilled professional with a broad range of expertise in educational leadership, nonprofit management, and specialized certifications. Holding educational licenses in ESL K-12, Science 6-12, Social Studies 9-12, and Biology 9-12, he brings a deep understanding of curriculum development and student support pathways. He also holds a degree in Sociology with a focus on Minority Groups, enhancing his ability to address the needs of vulnerable populations.

With experience in federal grant management and donor retention, Jake knows how to navigate solutions and challenge stakeholders to think differently. A trained Mental Health First Responder, he is actively involved in initiatives like the NC Vision Screener and Referral Grant, which provides free glasses to minors.

In addition to his educational and nonprofit work, Jake holds a CDL A with Hazmat, Tanker, Triples, and Passenger Bus endorsements. He also serves as an RLI Agent for Recovery Logistics Incorporated, a FEMA Subcontractor, playing a vital role in emergency response efforts. As a certified DOT Erosion Control Specialist, he completes ongoing CEUs with N.C. State University and is licensed as an NCDA Commercial Pesticide/Herbicide Applicator.

This diverse background allows Jake to deliver impactful solutions as a "boots-on-the-ground" leader, making meaningful contributions to the broad #REACH of RuralReach WNC.
