Our Phases
Dedication to continuing essential restorative infrastructure work without relying on personal funds. A focus on supporting churches and homes located near creeks and riverbanks, as well as establishing a mobile help hub to provide ongoing assistance. Commitment to managing distressed victim caseloads and offering long-term support. Additionally, a focus on repairing private roads and bridges, implementing bank erosion control through vegetation, and providing transportation for work and medical needs. Through these initiatives, aiming to strengthen the community and foster sustainable recovery.
Phase One:
Broad Reach
Plans to leverage the insights gained in Phase I to guide the objectives of Phase II. Primary focus on piloting the Felony Footwork program using equipment secured during Phase I. Pursuit of a Rural Church Grant, ensuring it aligns with community needs and priorities. Lastly, construction of 3 to 5 tiny houses on farm property to pilot the Agrivillage Relief Housing initiative, aiming to provide sustainable housing solutions for those in need.
Phase Two:
Refined Reach
Address significant need for enrichment programs for K-8 students in the Yancy area and beyond. Operation of a STEM Hub at the Agrivillage Compound, offering after-school programs and extending services during the summer months of July and August. Aiming to provide valuable educational opportunities and foster learning in a critical area of need.
Phase Three:
Narrowed Long Term Reach
Phase I
Offering live assistance with navigating FEMA and insurance reimbursement, while connecting individuals to immediate relief materials like heat tents, generators, and buddy tents. Sourcing volunteers and secure secondary relief materials, such as building supplies and road repair, while providing medical and mental health referrals, bilingual forwarding, wellness checks ins, and recovery caseload management.
Goal: $125,000
Phase III
Promoting community engagement and sustainable living through a tiny home agricultural village. Teaching the values of self-sufficiency, environmental stewardship, and collaboration, while providing families with access to shared resources and support. Encouraging local leadership and creating opportunities for individuals to focus on building a thriving, sustainable future.
